Island Fever Fishing Charters on Lake Erie offers quality fishing trips for steelhead trout, walleye, perch, and smallmouth bass with fully insured USCG licensed charter boat Captain Steve Swaisgood. Enjoy the day fishing on his 27-foot Sportscraft™ charter boat with the latest fish-finding equipment and private restroom. Rods and reels are available for use at no additional cost, but feel free to bring your own. Captain Steve fishes from the time the ice melts off of Lake Erie in early spring until hunting season in November. He focuses on walleye in the Western Basin from April through July, and during August can be found walleye and steelhead fishing in the Central Basin. During September and October, Captain Steve again returns to the Western Basin for smallmouth bass. By law the charter is limited to six passengers or less on each trip. All charters are eight hours long, dock to dock, with departures at 7 a.m., although charter departure times may be adjusted to meet your needs. Island Fever Charters is a small family operation designed for a personal and enjoyable day on Lake Erie. Captain Steve has been fishing Lake Erie since he was 15 years old, and running full time fishing charters on Lake Erie since 1988, giving him lots of Lake Erie fishing experience.
